Data protection

Thank you for showing an interest in our website. The protection of your personal data is very important to us. The following section supplies detailed information on how we handle your data.

The collection, processing and use of personally identifiable data
You can visit our website without having to reveal your personal details. Our system automatically saves only access details without any personal data, such as the name of your Internet service provider, the type and version of your browser, your screen resolution, your computer operating system, type of mobile device, website visited, duration of visit, referrer URL (of the previously visited page), host name (IP address) of the computer used to access, date and time of the server enquiry or your location. These data are used exclusively for the purpose of improving our range of goods and services. They cannot be traced back to any individual.

Use of cookies
Certain features on our website require the use of cookies. Cookies are small text files that the web browser stores on your end-user device. Some of the cookies that we use (known as “session cookies”) are deleted at the end of your session (i.e. when you exit your web browser). On the other hand, so-called “persistent cookies” remain on your end-user to allow us to recognise you when you next visit us. All browsers have a feature that lets you block the use of cookies or receive notification of any attempt to save cookies to your device. Note that the non-acceptance of cookies may restrict the functionality of our website.

Contact form
Details obtained via the contact form are used solely to communicate with users of our website. Every visitor to this website is free to telephone us directly as an alternative to using the contact function. Any personal details that you do leave with us will naturally be used only for their desired purpose.

Disclosure of personally identifiable data
We will not disclose your details to any other party.

Creation of a pseudonymous user profile for web analysis purposes
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”. These are small text files, which are saved to your computer for the purpose of analysing your website usage. The information collected by cookies on your usage of this website is transferred to and saved on a server owned by Google located in the United States of America. If IP-masking is activated on this website, Google will use only a previously-truncated version of your IP-address within the member states of the European Union or signatories to the agreement creating the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will a full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of the website, to draw up reports on website activities for site operators and in order to provide further services relating to website and Internet usage. The IP address obtained from your web browser by Google Analytics will not be linked to any other data held by Google.

We use Google Analytics, and have implemented “_anonymizeIp()” for the purpose of saving a truncated IP address.

You can configure your web browser software to block the installation of cookies. However, if you do so, please note that certain functions offered by the website may no longer be fully available. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie regarding your website usage (including your IP address) and the corresponding transfer to, and processing by, Google. To do so, download and install the corresponding browser plugin. The current link is https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

Right to information
You are entitled, under the terms of the German federal law on data protection, to access your saved personal data, and to correct or delete such data as appropriate.
